Wedding bands Edinburgh :
Our home town, also known as the Athens of the North and Auld Reekie! – Compared to other cites in Scotland, Edinburgh is multi-cultural melting pot of student, tourists and a new folks who’ve come from down south for a bit of Scottish charm.
Known for it’s amazing scenery and ancient buildings, Edinburgh is a fascinating and vibrant city to visit or get married in. Of all the wedding bands in Edinburgh, Northern Star is one of the original modern style bands that started to appear in the early 2000’s, and one of the few Edinburgh based wedding bands still going strong.
Edinburgh is fantastic city to get married in, it certainly has the romance of New York and Paris, and being a capital city has the amenities to cater to every budget and style of wedding. From grand events to smaller exclusive gatherings a little outside the city, Edinburgh can boast some of the worlds finest venues. The city has no less than 4 Michelin stared restaurants, 5 5 star hotels, and because of the International Festival and Fringe literally hundreds of smaller hotels and B&B’s throughout the city. Here’s a couple of favourite venues :
Dundas Castle :
Located just outside the city near the Forth Bridge, Dundas Castle hosts it’s weddings in a permanent marquee, but the real lure is the truly stunning grounds and old house, with a billiards room and a sweeping drive, Dundas is our number one pick!
Mansfield Traquaire :
Wow, this gothic building right in the middle of town is one of the UK’s finest venues. The huge painted ceilings and dramatic lighting is like no other venue. We’d only recommend this venue for parties over 150 as the hall is so vast, but still a fantastic space.
The Balmoral :
One of Edinburgh’s old classic hotels, where the rock stars and famous stay when visiting, the Balmoral has a fine sized ballroom that over looks Princess Street. If your guest stay here they will experience one of the countries finest hotels. With a Michelin Starred restaurant and right on Princess street, you can’t ask for more!
Glenbervie House :
Not really a Edinburgh venue, but it’s close enough to both the City and Glasgow, that we’re putting it here. Set in tranquil surroundings and the ABSOLUTELY perfect size and lay out for most weddings, Glenverbie is one of our favourites
